Touch down safely at 12.50pm yesterday and i am sure missing all those who had went to Kota Kinabalu. The staffs and sudents from NP and also the 6 others from secondary schools...
"Abang Robert" was how Zulaiha & Sandeep said to address our van driver. He was like the best driver i had ever known. Fast. There was one point where our van had to move on a steep slope, the other van in front of us had to stop and allight its passenger first but not us. Everyone in the van goes like '' Hip-hip, Hooray".. lol.. And i got shock when he metal to the pedal after passing by this sign board "Slow down, uneven road ahead".. Rocky ride...
From day two to four, it was at the higher altitude environment . We went to a village where Ngee Ann had build clinics and kindergarten and sure it was an area for pretty girls :DDD... They had fair skins and are very-very friendly. Most probably due to the chilling weather... Suddenly, Mount kinabalu wanna shows its peak towards us! How exciting as the clouds had been hiding it all the time. Yeah that is the highest mountain in South-East Asia measuring 4095.2 m. That night we slept at a resort that does not have any aircons as the weather is already cold- like Genting sia.
I decided to wake up at 5.45am(Sg time!) where the sun is already rising. The sky was blue-ish and i decided to take a morning walk around the resort... After the walk, i took a seat at my room balcony. The top area of M.Kinabalu starts to change colour as the morning rays is reaching it. Awesome mixtures! There's yellow, light green, dark green, purples and blues!
Oukh ya, timing over there is similar to The Lion City excepts that 6.15pm was already sunset and by 5.30am it was sunrise!
Regarding the water-rafting... a memorable one. How often do u see someone standing straight on the raft that is travelling on choppy water? That was what i did. Yeah, i become the commander, u knw like "Spartans today we dine in Hell!"-a cuter version... And so, i think my raft is the most noisy one,
Leader: One, Two, Three
Members: Row...
Though we didn't arrive first, we sure had a dramatic ride. The most thrilling moment was when we had just escaped a hard hit by a rock and tree branches came into view almost immediately. Thick as a tigh cross-section, everyone dive into the center of the raft lying flat as possible. In my point of view when Nhawfal-sitting right in front- pushed himself backward into the center, i thought the tree branch had caused him to be in such motion but not(*yay*relief). Right after that, i lost my pedal as it got stuck on a 'hanging roots'...
That evening is when i met the pretty village girls haha. They had waited for our arrival and had prepared a traditional dance for us(will upload video soon). Not forgetting lunch. Oukh ya, we were supposed to give a gift.I decided to buy a notebook, write my name, school and date in it and which was then wrapped up by ribbons. And G-man(NP student) was like damn bad ass as he said to some that i wrote my full data on it and gave it to girls only!!! Had to agree with the second one though :PPP.
One night market was smoky!!! It was just empty space of cemented concrete floor during daylight but a buzzling one when night falls. I thought it was just a market with the fresh fish and vegetables all around. But nay, there was food too! The aroma was awesome, especially passing buy the barbeque chicken stall(ayam percik).
Another night, it was at the pasar malam, where many products are fake. Yeah fake, shades, perfumes, shoes, belts, wallets and outfits. Than a song was played into the air and i was amazed by the lyrics, here's the video of the song.
So, who is Alice? A sad guy indeed..
Bought a couple of Tees for home and i still can't forget this t'shirt phrase which i didn't buy, 'I am Orang Utan'. haha.. When picking up shirts, i will always think of this 'if not for the design, where else can u get the template?'.
**will update more as im too tired and someone is already buzzing me to update**
That's all folks! Uploading pics not so soon ya!
