Ta'at Setia.

Today's mentoring class wasn't as usual. It was an educational trip to Bukit Chandu followed up by a tree top walk. The name originated from a Opium factory which operated near the hill, opium is also known as 'chandu'. Hence, Bukit Chandu was formed to identify that hill. Besides Bukit Chandu or Opium Hill, it is also called as Point 226 by the British soldiers. Point 226 is the height of the hill measuring 226 feet.

That was where Leftenan Adnan got stabbed and killed. He spotted a group of army marching up the hill. Clad in Indian Army Uniform, the Japaneses weren't smart enough to disguise fully as them. The Indian's-which was under British- march in rows of three yet the 'fake' ones are in four. Leftenan Adnan noticed that and immediately ordered his army to kill them. About 20+ Japanese Army was killed.

Ta'at Setia, the moto of the Malay Regiment means 'Loyal and True'.

14th February, some celebrated St. Valentine Day yet 67 years ago, an outstanding hero was killed.

I'm sure that i had learned alot from this trip. Oukh my country, i love you.

I'm in love with my new cute Prolink mouse :D
