I Love the Navy.

Last Wednesday was a visit to the Changi Naval Base. Once again, an exciting opportunity to explore the world of seas. All of us were given a tour in the Republic of Singapore Ship : Resolution. It is a Landing Ship Tank. As its name implies, transporting tankers is one of its main purpose. Yet it can also support humanitarian aid, 2 Superpumas or a hinook. The LST is more of a support vessel. And gosh! Working in the navy may easily get a better pay than in RSAF. Unless you fly an aeroplane, the pilot.

Why? Cause your role in the ship is not just as an engineer. You will probably be a combat fighter and a technician. Killing 2 birds with a stone. And if you're in the RSAF, you are either only a engineer or a pilot. Rarely both.

At the dock, there are also the Frigates and a submarine. I didn't expect to see them both as i always thought that they are hidden from the public. the Frigates are the new ones, Stealth. Freaking cool and it looks undefensive due to the state of the art technology technology of stealth, yet it is no doubt that it is powerful and ready to fight.

Now i love the navy and the attractive schlorlarship that they offer. Monthly get 1k and just by passing your exams get a BONUS of 1.2k. And, upon graduation, your NS pay will not start at 400+ bucks but $2000+. Fun right. BUT, BUT, BUT.... I stand no chance in getting the scholarship or even serving The Republic of Singapore Navy. Cause i cb. Figure that out yourself. Or, they only need normal colour preception personnel. I think that if i qualify for it, i will definitely try my luck.

Lastly, i just knew the honour of sailing in a 'Republic of Singapor Ship'(RSS). Every RSS ship have to undergo proper presidency ceremony. Wherever the RSS vessel is, it is a piece of land from Singapore!!! Cool.

The weird thing is, i didn't saw any malay... From engineers, trainers, trainees till the highly ranked... ah.. A sensitive issue indeed. Yet it is not that i have not heard of such issues before. I am only experiencing one. MAYBE that is why government make talking about race is a very sensitive issue? Im trying my best not to jump to conclusion here.

Im still busy running here and there doing this and that. Definitely doesn't feel like a holiday at all but i like whatever im experiencing.
